Moises Llerena

Moises was born in the heart of the jungle in a village called Flor de Punga, wich has inspired his art. In 1975, when he finished elementary and high school, Moises started his art studies in USKO AYAR Amazonian School of Painting in 1992, completing in 1997. The Art School was founded and directed by the visionary artist Pablo Amaringo in Pucallpa, Perú.

Moises Llerena's art is inspired by and dedicated, with all respect and gratitude to the ancestral inhabitants of the amazon rainforest and their traditions. Although Moises developed his art techniques at the Usko Ayar School, he considers nature to be the true master teacher where we can all find beauty, love and teachings that assist us in maturing in body and spirit.

As a student he participated in many art exhibitions in Pucallpa, Lima and received a commission to paint a mural for the Korkeasaari Zoo in Finland in 1996 along with his friend, Anderson Debernardi. Moises has participed in art exhibitions in different cities of Perú and abroad: Pucallpa, Iquitos, Lima, Cuzco, Trujillo, Requena, Leticia (Colombia), Tabatinga (Brazil), Finland, the U.S.A. and Canada.
