Bucharest Tips & Tricks

  • To get to and from the airport with public transportation, take bus 783, which leaves every 15 minutes between 5.30am and 11.30pm (every half-hour at weekends) from Piaţa Unirii and Piaţa Victoriei and points in between.
  • When in airport, order a taxi from within the special marked ATM like machines and located in the airport (an average ride to the city center is around 40 RON). Keep the receipt until after the ride.
  • Trains leave you at Gara de Nord. There is a regular train shuttle connecting the airport to the city. More information here: www.bucharestairports.ro
  • Our capital city is dynamic, energetic and quite fun. The Old City Center offers a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, pubs and clubs to meet every taste.
